Buying a
stolen car

If you decide to buy a used car, it's important you make sure you don't end up buying one that was stolen. Should this happen, the police can take it away from you and you'd still be on the hook to repay your loan.

Safe snowmobiling

Every winter, a number of people die in snowmobile accidents. To take full advantage of this sport, it's important to follow certain safety rules. For example, before you head out onto a frozen lake, check the thickness of the ice; it should be at least 12 cm thick to be able to drive a snowmobile over it. Also make sure you wear warm clothing.

Risk of fire

You can never be too careful when it comes to limiting the risk of a fire in your home. One way is to install smoke detectors, test them regularly and change the batteries at least once a year. Also, when you're cooking never leave anything on the stove unattended! And always be careful when using a fireplace or wood stove.
