Self Employed Workers - Additional guarantees and riders

As the name suggests, additional guarantees and riders can be added to your policy depending on your needs. The following are the most common:

  • The Operating Loss or Loss of Profits Due to a Covered Peril guarantee covers income lost and additional expenses incurred to continue business operations while your business premises are being restored after an insured peril occurs. Note: This is not salary insurance. The insurer only compensates you according to the covered peril.
  • The Accounts Receivable, Valuable Documents, and Professional Fees rider covers cash inflows that the insured can no longer receive due to an insured loss as well as valuable documents in the insured's possession. It also covers professional fees paid to insurance adjusters to assess the loss.
  • The Theft and Misappropriation rider protects you in the case of loss, misappropriation, or the reduced value of funds or securities after their disappearance, either from an insured premise or off the premises, such as during a deposit, theft, or break-in or due to counterfeit bank notes or credit card/debit card fraud.
